The Job:

The Nurse is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in monitoring resident needs, notifying the Nurse Manager of any changes observed in resident condition, and ensuring that all services outlined in the residents’ service plans are delivered with excellent quality, on time and with respect. The Nurse will assist with all aspects of compliance with all state and local requirements. The Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager and works in collaboration with the CNAs. The nurse must support, honor, and respect the philosophy of the Green House® Project and its self-managed work team of CNAs.

Duties:

  • Engage in regular communication with the CNA work team on each shift to obtain an update on each resident.
  • Review and monitor overall adequacy of each resident’s Individual Service Plan (ISP); ensure that each ISP is being administered properly.
  • Provide assessment visits to residents who present with symptoms or appear to have had a change in their condition. Use nursing judgement to determine if any resident needs prompt medical attention; provide emergency nursing care/first aid such as CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, AED Machine as necessary; communicate follow up care to CNA work team as appropriate; report incidents/illnesses to family members.
  • Work in collaboration with CNAs as part of the overall self-managed work team.
  • Maintain communications with physicians and home healthcare agencies providing services.
  • Develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
  • Assist with pre-occupancy assessments and service plan coordination.
  • Assist with pharmacy medication delivery and observe or deliver medication in accordance with SAMM and LMA policies and procedures. Evaluate CNA compliance with SAMM protocols.
  • Evaluates residents for independent, SAMM, or LMA designation.
  • Assist with in-service staff orientation.
  • Maintain emergency supplies and the safe condition of equipment, including mechanical lift.
  • Monitor standard use of universal precautions.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license or Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in LTC or Gerontological health care. Assisted living experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment and supplies weighing 30 lbs. or less
  • Occasional lifting of residents from the floor weighing up to 150 lbs. with assistance of mechanical lift as needed
  • Sitting 50%, walking, and standing 50%. Protective equipment as indicated.

Experience:

  • RN/LPN: 1 year (Required)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Job:

We have two CNA Part-Time positions open – we are looking for an individual for 16 hours/week and another for 24 hours/week.

We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) at our premier senior living community to perform multiple care duties that contribute to the health, well-being, and quality of life for our residents.

The CNA is responsible to provide personal care services/ activities of daily living, medication reminders, and light housekeeping to a elderly residents at Fox Hill Village.

We are looking for two candidates – one for 24 hours a week and one for 16 hours a week that are able to work the 6:30am-3:00pm shift (or 7:00am-3:30pm).

24 Hours a Week Position days:

Week 1: Monday/Wednesday/Saturday

Week 2: Sunday/Wednesday/Friday

16 Hours a Week Position days:

Week 1: Thursday/Saturday

Week 2: Sunday/Friday

You must be able to work weekends.

Duties:

  • Provides personal care assistance (baths, dressing, toileting, etc.) in a professional manner while allowing the resident to maintain their dignity.
  • Observes/documents resident status and reports to nurse and next shift CNAs any changes in resident status.
  • Any task requested by management that helps to ensure resident safety and security.
  • Communicates effectively with residents.
  • Maintains clean environment by performing light housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist in safe transfer and ambulation.
  • Participates in safe delivery of medication reminders thru SAMM.
  • Personal laundry for residents
  • Responds promptly to radio calls.
  • Is aware of and practices reasonable infection control procedures.
  • Communicates ideas/issues to supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety policies including reporting on all incidents immediately.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
  • Previous experience providing personal care services to the elderly
  • Assisted Living Experience preferred

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion such as bending, pushing/pulling, reaching, walking/standing, and climbing stairs.
  • Occasional lift assist of residents from the floor weighing up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
  • Walking or standing 80%, sitting 20%.

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

Bistro Lead Cook

The Job:

We are seeking a Lead Cook to work in our beautiful cook-to-order Bistro. The Lead Cook must have availability to work weekends and days. Cooking/preparing lunch and dinner will be your main responsibilities. Therefore, we anticipate the hours being approximate 11:30am – 8:00pm.

The Bistro Lead Cook ensures that excellent quality of food service is provided at all times.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares cooked-to-order lunch and dinner items according to standardized recipes and resident’s preferences.
  • Prepares meals by using correct portioning, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty at all times.
  • Able to meet established food preparation times during busy meal periods.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment, per Board of Health standards.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately.
  • Be ready for scheduled shift, well groomed, in full uniform.
  • Adhere to all safety policies.
  • Maintain an excellent and professional work relationship with immediate supervisor(s), fellow employees, CEO, Management Team, residents, guests, and vendors.
  • Assist the Bistro staff with washing dishes, cleaning tables, taking orders, stocking, cleaning, cooking, prepping etc.
  • Must be able to effectively work with the Bistro servers and chef team while cooking alongside of Bistro employees.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong line experience needed.
  • Creative and self-starter preferred.
  • Effective organizational & verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be on call for emergencies.

  • Must be able to use the POS system and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Ability to independently analyze challenges, problems, and develop/implement sound solutions.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree highly preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of strong culinary experience required, preferably in a senior living, hospitality, deli, or fast-paced cooking environment.
  • Must possess understanding of cooking methods, procedures, and proper knife handling skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion such as reaching, bending, stooping and hand, wrist and body movement on- the-line cutting/preparing food items
  • Ability to lift to a maximum of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand 90% throughout shift.
